Some of the coldest air so far this winter season is coming and just in time for Valentines Day. The arctic air is making its way from Canada into the Northern Plains on Wednesday. With the clash of cold air with this front and storm system that is the Midwest, blizzard conditions are being reported. Blizzard warnings and wind chill advisories were in effect across the Eastern Dakotas and Southwestern Minnesota early Wednesday. Ahead of the cold front is a mix of rain or snow depending on where you are. The cold air is advancing and is really going to settle in for Valentines Day in the Northeast and New England.

Thursday wind chills in the Plains and Upper Midwest are going to be dangerous. Actual air temperatures will be close too or at subzero. With the strong north wind this is why wind chills will be down right bitter and dangerous. Minneapolis, Chicago, Des Moine and Omaha will feel the coldest air so far this winter on Thursday.
